Genghis the Gerbil’s article “When roleplaying goes bad” has come to the notice of Postvixen, who’s made it the subject of a critical post in hir Livejournal: eXAWATT tRANSVULPINE pRAJNA.
As Ghenghis observes, “that LJ post seems standard fare - several times the length of the article it’s reviewing, accusations of “straw man” tactics (gotta love that buzzword), taking the sarcastic and/or exaggerated parts and responding as if they believe they were actually meant seriously, and whining all the way about pseudo-philosophical bullshit. I especially love how I supposedly “hate” roleplaying despite being one of the geekiest geeks that ever did geek (hey, I run a motherfucking changeling game. It’s pretty hard to surpass that in terms of sheer faggery).
From a comment on the eat_all_furries LJ community:
All you have to do is read crushyiffdestroy.com, those guys have been around the fandom a long time and they are a hundred times more jaded and hateful than anyone in this community towards the fandom. Those guys have some major beef, and I understand exactly why. They are too extreme for me, though.
From a post to alt.fan.furry:
If we’ve got parody sites, then we ought to be big enough to justify it. Maybe it does mean we’re now going places.
Then again, who am I kidding? Furrydom is small and insignificant in this wide world. I do wonder at the aimlessness of people who expend their time and money on parodying something so trivial.
From toastyfrog.com:
Alas, when anthopomorphic characters come into play, so too comes the potential for the baggage of furry-dom. I detest everything about furry fetishism, so I want to take absolute care to avoid any sort of overlap with the whole medium/genre/whatever. The girlfriend finds the notion of anti-research - that is, research for the sake of avoiding something - to be borderline idiotic, but I don’t care. I’d rather be stupid than pathetic. Thank goodness for this site, which offers a pretty decent account of the sins of that particular community; in the past few hours I’ve gotten a solid grasp on where I want the TF origin portion of this tale to go - and just as importantly, where I absolutely refuse to let it go.

Take care : This site is full of hatred. Please, read its pages from far, try not to trust them at 100%, rely on facts in non-furry and non-antifurry sites.
